Is FOIP the Future of Faxing? | Communications

To those of you who thought that Fax machines had long since disappeared completely from the business landscape (and I include myself in that category) it seems like they are set to make somewhat of an impromptu (and slightly unexpected) comeback, thanks to Voip.

Confused? You should be, because it turns out that there is still a very real demand for Faxes to be sent in the modern business world, and Voip seems to hold the key to their successful re-interrogation. And ironically, the only reason that Faxes ever went away was due to the rise in and use of Voip systems and technology.

The reason that the Fax was unable to adapt to the changing digital technology was because the signals used for voice communication are very different to those used for Fax, and it seems that the technology was too difficult to incorporate with Voip networks - until now that is.

And it is largely thanks to one company in particular for the turnaround in Fax fortunes, a company whose name has become synonymous in the past 20 years with the integration of Voip and Fax technologies, namely FaxSiPit.

For it was FaxSiPit who saw the potential in a union between the noble Fax and Voip technology many years ago, and who have struggled and stuttered for the past 20 years to make their vision a reality. And what is the key to this success? Well, their new HTTPS system looks to have something to do with it.

Earlier this year, FaxCONNECTit was also introduced to the marketplace, which FaxSiPit's Quentin Dibble explains: "offers businesses and users the option to keep their fax machine and cut the costs, whilst piling on the advanced features and functionalities needed to achieve optimum fax transmission".

As well as this, earlier this year FaxCONNECT was introduced to the marketplace, which company executive Quentin Dibble explains as: "offering businesses and users the option to keep their fax machine and cut the costs, whilst piling on the advanced features and functionalities needed to achieve optimum fax transmission".

But this news only serves to further highlight the versatility of Voip technology and its ability to be adapted to suit even the most unlikely of situations. So if you have still not made the move to Voip within your company you are missing out.
