Our top 5 food and drink blogs for August | mydeco blog

In recent weeks Britain?s love of summer fruits, particularly strawberries, resurfaced as we watched Andy Murray win tennis gold at Wimbledon during the London 2012 Olympics. So in a fitting tribute to our favourite summer fruits, Theo?s picks this month all have a fruity flavour.

1) The Boy Who Bakes ? Summer strawberry tarts

The tart looks absolutely incredible and almost too good to eat. The addition of Pimms and fruit juice is an excellent touch. The post is visually brilliant and gives a detailed recipe on how to make your tart equally tasty. I?m looking forward to making this myself.

2) Delicious Delicious Delicious ? Lemon posset

As this blogger reached 30, she decided to ?throw her hair to the wind? and make a lovely Lemon Posset. She?s created a superb looking posset, which appears to have the perfect texture. An enjoyable and personable post, which I recommend for anyone who wants to make a simple dessert.

3) A Glug of Oil ? Malaysian chicken curry recipe

I recently visited South-East Asia and different curries I tasted whilst there were amazing. So this post, where the blogger spruces up a Gordon Ramsay recipe for a Malaysian chicken curry, definitely whetted my appetite. A great post for anyone who loves good, spicy food.

4) Clairejustineoxox ? Homemade strawberry jam

Traditionally, when choosing a jam flavour I?m an apricot man. However, after seeing this excellent post, I?m tempted to try using strawberry when I try my hand at making homemade jam. It you love your jam and crumpets, read this post!

5) Food Stories / Helen Graves ? Rum & raisin ice cream with banana bread chunks

A humorous post, which guides you on making one of my favourite flavoured icecreams, rum and raisin. Although no longer a mainstream ice cream flavour, I can assure you that rum and raisin is delightful. I advise making your own ice-cream because you can fuse the many sweet tastes you like into a really tasty dessert.? This blogger added banana bread chucks to hers to create a beautiful looking ice-cream. A super post.
